A passionate student community
Machine Learning at Berkeley (ML@B) is a student-run organization based at the University of California, Berkeley dedicated to fostering a vibrant machine learning community on campus while contributing to the greater machine learning community beyond.
Our Mission
Our organization brings together undergraduate and graduate students with both a demonstrated aptitude and passion for the field of machine learning. We are a tight-knit community working on cutting-edge academic research, industry projects, and educational initiatives to make machine learning more accessible at all levels.

External
The External committee brings opportunities in machine learning to the Berkeley community. This involves hosting a range of public-facing industry events — including the annual AI & EECS Career Fair (Fall) and Founders Meetup (Spring).
For our members, External organizes hackathons, company visits, tech talks, our Alumni Dinner, and many more exciting events. We also engage industry and academic leaders in AI/ML to speak at our weekly general meetings.

Education
The Education committee helps shape the next generations of machine learners by running our New Member Education Program as well as our Decal. Being a part of the education team is a unique opportunity to learn from our close-knit community of instructors and organizers with years of experience, as well as to fast-track your involvement in "the other side" of upper education.

Research
ML@B's research committee works to improve exposure to emerging research through seminars, reading groups, and blog posts. They provide an environment for both ML@B members and the broader Berkeley student body to discover their research interests by learning, building, and sharing knowledge.
They also support home-grown research projects at the frontier of ML, often advised by Berkeley faculty or industry scientists.

Projects
Projects at ML@B is an innovative and dynamic platform that caters to a wide range of interests and professional aspirations among our members.
Partnered with some of the biggest companies around the globe, ML@B's semester-long industry projects is an opportunity for members to explore their interests and gain experience applying their ML skills in the real world.
Our
Community
While ML@B is great for professional opportunities and all, most of our members would say the best thing about the club is the tight-knit community.
Our fifth and final committee—the Internal Committee—works to cultivate a supportive and fun environment that our members want to be a part of. This includes organizing our semesterly retreat, banquet, Big/Little Program, and other social events throughout the semester.
